Engraving Items With Text

Maximum engraving area: 15" × 15"

• 1–9 lines: $2.25 per line
• 10–99 lines: $2.00 per line
• 100+ lines: $1.75 per line

Custom Laser Engraving

We provide a free quote for custom laser engraving projects.

• Single-piece custom engraving: $15 minimum, plus shipping when applicable.
• This applies to a custom engraving job that is not one of our standard CW Outfitters products.
• Adding a customer-provided logo or image to one of our standard products: +$5, when no significant artwork preparation is required.
• Larger, more detailed, or time-intensive custom projects are priced based on engraving time and complexity.
• Custom laser engraving labor: $15/hour.

Example: A highly detailed 5.5" × 5.5" engraving that takes approximately 8 hours to engrave would have an engraving charge of $120, before the cost of the item, artwork preparation, or shipping.

Logo Engraving on Customer-Provided Items

We can engrave logos and artwork on customer-provided items such as:

• Leather
• Cups
• Tumblers
• Bottles
• Wood
• Other suitable materials

Laser engraving labor: $15/hour

A $15 minimum charge applies to single-piece custom engraving jobs.

Final pricing is based on:

• Engraving time
• Size of the engraving
• Artwork complexity
• Material being engraved
• Any required artwork preparation

Line Engraving

Line engraving is the more economical engraving option because the laser follows the lines of the artwork rather than engraving an entire surface.

Line engraving is typically used with vector artwork such as:

• SVG
• DXF
• AI
• Other vector formats

Surface Engraving

Surface engraving involves the laser burning an entire area of the material rather than simply following lines.

Because it requires significantly more laser time, surface engraving is generally more expensive than line engraving.

Surface engraving can be performed from vector artwork, but it is also required when the supplied artwork is a bitmap image such as:

• PNG
• JPEG/JPG
• Other raster/bitmap images

Digital Image Enhancement

Images that require digital cleanup, tracing, conversion, or other enhancement are billed at:

$50/hour

This may include:

• Cleaning up poor-quality artwork
• Converting bitmap artwork to engraving-ready artwork
• Removing backgrounds
• Redrawing artwork
• Preparing artwork for laser engraving
